Welcome to Cover to Cover Books
Cover to Cover Books is a book club that embraces the 3 B's:
It's similar to your hometown book club, except with more avocado toast and mimosas! Every month, an email goes out to remind our members whose turn it is to pick the book of the month. Said member picks a book that they've been looking forward to reading and the whole group spends the month reading it. At the end of the month, we all come together at a brunch spot chosen by the same person who picked the book. Everyone arrives dressed up in a way that reminds them of a character, setting, or imagery so we can all be fully immersed in our farewell to the book we read. Over brunch, we talk about what we liked and didn't like about our most recent read. At the end of our session, whoever had the best outfit related to the book is treated with a little extra something from our brunch spot and they are given the chance to pick the next book.
We aim to read adult books in a variety of genres from diverse authors. Some of our favorite recent reads have been Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia, Circe by Madeline Miller, Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid, and The Apollo Murders by Chris Hadfield.
We're always on the lookout for new books, even though all of our TBR (to be read) piles are steadily growing. Cover to Cover Books is our friend group's way to ensure that we're slowly making our way through our hoards of books and gives us a chance to touch base to discuss something we all love: brilliant books.
